My name is Jeannine Waller, I've lived in Crete for 5 years with my husband Gary, two dogs and five cats.
During that time I've seen INCO change to reflect Greek laws, but still remain a force for good in knitting together and supporting the international community.
Hi, my name is Suzanne Schils. I live in Sissi, Crete since 2001. I am originally from the Netherlands where I studied Law and worked at the Ministry of Justice as a project manager for automation projects.
Prior to my retirement and relocation to Crete nearly seven years ago, I was Commercial Director for one of the UK’s leading specialists in oil and lubricant manufacture. My responsibilities included the management of many special projects not only to ensure compliance with the rigorous standards applying to that industry but also to negotiate contracts and purchases, introduce new systems and working practices and make sure the company was profitable.
I started working in 1957 as a laboratory assistant testing oils and essences for the food and perfumery trades, then in the physics department of a ladies’ university, setting up experiments for post-graduate students. On to processing returns of defective X-ray & image intensifier tubes for Mullards Ltd., then part owner of a small grocery store on Dartmoor in Devon.
I have lived and worked in Agios Nikolaos for over 30 years.
I met my wife Leanne here and we married in 2012. Our son, Kamran, was born in Agios Nikolaos hospital and attends Dimotiko (Primary School).
My wife Gill and I moved to Pyrgos, near Kalo Chorio in September 2020, following me deciding to take early retirement from the role of rector of two rural parishes in the Church of Ireland. Prior to ordination, my professional life revolved around providing advice and support in both commercial and individual contexts. On discovering my background I have been invited to join the INCO team as Head of Pastoral Support.
