INCO Magazine

AthensFollowing the success of the visit to Jordan quite a while ago, it was requested that a trip to Egypt be considered, and this was something we were actively researching – until the Middle East crisis occurred and the British FCO recommended that their citizens do not visit Egypt. This is now on the back burner, but we could investigate other cultural places to visit – perhaps other parts of Greece or Europe?

Also, a midweek two-day Christmas Shopping trip to Athens in December may be on the cards if enough are interested. If you don't want to shop until you drop, there's lots to do in Athens on the run up to Christmas – sightseeing and visiting archaeological sites without the crowds (and they are cheaper in winter), visit the National Gardens, call at the Central Market and other special Christmas markets and bazaars, take in a show, musical or concert, visit the Museum of Illusions, have coffee and cake at Little Kook (the most photographed coffee shop in Athens owing to their seasonal displays) sing carols in Syntagma Square to name but a few.

Also, the “hop-on, hop-off” buses and Happy Trains operate around the city centre so getting around is easy.
