After surgery (or other procedures) and in some other situations, patients in the hospital will require someone to sit with them during the initial two nights afterwards. This role doesn't necessitate a trained nurse; anyone willing can fulfil it. In some situations, you may need a COVID-19 rapid test to enter the ward.
Register as a Sitter
If you're interested in registering as an occasional sitter for individuals who may find themselves hospitalised without adequate support, please reach out to Tessa with your details. No special qualifications are needed, just common sense and compassion! Whilst we hope requests for assistance will be infrequent, it's reassuring to know we have people available when the need arises.
